Lose Fat. Build Muscle. Feel Good

After well over a decade of use by many of the top fighters in the world, we have realized that you do not have to be a fighter to use the TFW system, but you do have to be a WARRIOR.

The TFW system was designed to develop the muscular strength and mental fortitude to take on those challenges. TFW was created as a lifestyle guide for people looking to find their way. This system is a combination of fitness and philosophy designed around the tagline, “Bring Out The Warrior Within” which represents the fact that every person has untapped greatness inside of them.

Any gym can have equipment and offer workouts. What separates the TFW system from other training programs is its culture. Although TFW encompasses signature warm-ups, speed training, strength training, endurance training, flexibility work and nutrition all based on a comprehensive evaluation process, the most important component of the system is its motivational approach and family environment. At TFW, we know if you don’t have fun and enjoy the training, you won’t do it. TFW is not designed as a sport or competition, but focuses on you competing against and bettering your body, mind and spirit.

      Functional Capacity Screen (FCS)
Creating durable performers in sport, work and recreation is the ultimate goal for coaches, trainers and healthcare professionals. The Fundamental Capacity Screen Course will observe four fundamental forms of movement energy expression and discuss how these interact with each other and the individual’s environment to create the sustainable movement fitness and movement health we seek.

For nearly 20 years, Functional Movement Systems has been dedicated to creating a movement-based entry point for the exercise program design process—The Functional Movement Screen. The Fundamental Capacity Screen is a continuation of that systematic and logical approach: before we learn and acquire occupational, recreational or sportspecific skills, we express energy through elemental capacities that can, and should, be measured. In this workshop you will: explore Movement Control, Postural Control, Explosive Control and Impact Control, consider their vital importance within human development and reflect on the philosophy behind developing safe, body relative screens to measure them.

      Functional Movement Screen (Level 2)
The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) Level 2 Course provides an opportunity to take results from the FMS and apply program design and exercise selection to improve your client’s fundamental movement baseline. The Level 2 seminar will begin with an in-depth look at how to perform the movement screen and apply the scoring criteria correctly for best results. Then we will discuss how to interpret results from the FMS, decide what your training priorities are based on those results, and teach exercise applications and techniques to improve your client’s training results.

The seminar will cover key concepts to understanding movement competency and its impact on exercise programming. There will be a highly interactive discussion and hands-on training opportunity to demonstrate key strategies and techniques used to improve movement patterns that have been identified by the FMS algorithm as a weak link.

This course highlights the FMS corrective exercise essentials: breathing, mobility, motor control, transitional postures, and functional loading. For each of the seven tests within the FMS, specific exercise progressions will be laid out in order to provide the best path to improve, maintain and strengthen those movement patterns. These training strategies broken down by movement patterns assist in determining where an individual should begin, as well as focus, within their exercise program in order to push clients to the best of their ability. Lastly, this seminar finishes with a presentation of case studies and group discussion on program design and integration for key training and rehabilitation environments.
